Course Description
This is a basic writing course that teaches development of writing skills through an integrated reading and writing approach with a focus on writing that responds to questions, prompts, and real-world writing situations.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Generate and organize ideas into paragraphs and essays by using the following elements: a clear topic sentence/thesis, logical structure & transitions, and adequate supporting evidence.
- Identify and edit for sentence boundaries, verb endings and agreement, and other critical elements of grammar.
